This was our second trans Atlantic crossing with MCS and we did two back to back cruises with the second one taking us from Venice-Istanbul-Venice. I was overall fairly pleased with MSC; however, their food left a bit to be desired. The buffet was pretty much the same throughout the cruise. The juice from the juice machine was so disgusting, like dishwater and I was totally turned off. The water in the Sahara Buffet was lukewarm and often the ice machine was empty. Coffee was pretty awful stuff too.
Dinner servings were quite small; however, there was no problem to double up on servings.
Pop and Fernandez were fantastic servers. One thing MSC really needs to address is the not serving of water or coffee at dinner.....at least not on this cruise out of South America. We bought water tickets as we drink a lot of water. By not serving coffee they want you to head out and buy coffee at the bar.......this company is trying to break into the North American market and we like our coffee and water at dinner. Now perhaps they do serve coffee and water on their North American and Caribbean cruises.........I am not certain about this.
Cabin was fine. Anna our room steward was excellent. Soft goods could be replaced anytime soon. Blankets were small.
