This was our first cruise and probably our last on Carnival. Room was as expected small but clean, the bathroom had an odor that smelled like a nursing home. Music on Lido deck was nothing but hip hop for 3 days. We waited to go after spring breaks were over so that we could enjoy a more Caribbean vacation. When we tried to get away from the "club" scene and go to the back of the ship there were people playing their personal music devices loud (again hip hop). The putt putt golf only had 3 golf balls so you had to wait until someone was finished to play.

Getting off the ship at Grand Turks was absolute chaos! There was no staff to control the crowd. People were pushing and shoving, cutting lines and overall being rude. Food was ok, nothing too impressive. Could only get pizza most nights after 9. We did go to the deli one night for my husband to get a ham and cheese and were told they didn't have anymore. The only sweets I could find late night was icecream.I knew going in that drinks were going to be expensive but beware on Half moon Cay when you get the larger bucket of beer(6) and 1 mixed drink cost 63.00. My son had a great time with the Circle K club. The stops we had were very nice. Grand Turks was my favorite, you can rent a car for 65.00 and drive wherever you want. Snorkeling was great.

After talking to several people who have cruised a lot they said it was the worse cruise they ever had been on. I have nothing to compare it to so I can't say. I would like to go on another one and hopefully have the experience I was expecting.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

We rented a car from a gentleman right outside of the gates. He gave us a map with directions to the lighthouse. We loved looking over the cliffs. I wanted to see whales but didn't. A man there said he had seen about 8 earlier in the morning. The people were very friendly. We then drove to another beach and snorkeled. They had a tiki bar with some food. Very nice day!

Half Moon Cay

Had a lot of fun here. We joined in some of the contests and enjoyed the water. We should've ventured away a little to go snorkeling outside of the bounderies. Would have liked to have more native food.

Nassau

We went to the straw market, then got a cab to a beach away from cruises. Very nice day. Very touristry. I think there were 3 or 4 cruise ships docked so a lot of people. It was exactly as I expected.. We saw a pretty bad accident, so be careful if you rent a scooter. Taking a cab or some kind of tour shuttle is better.

Miami

We flew in the night before our cruise and stayed at Intercontinental Hotel. Pretty swank place. We walked downtown for breakfast in the morning and got some last minute things for the cruise. Everything was ok there.
