This will be my first time writing a review of any sorts. I would say that this and all is my objective opinion. A little background on me I have cruised once with CCL, 1 time prior with NCL and 5 times on RCL. My past experience on an NCL ship was not great and I had stated I would not return. Never say Never. My husband won this cruise via our local Casino (Twin River) So I naturally decided to go again on an NCL line. Hey it was free after all (minus taxes and port charges). EMBARKATION We opted to take a NCL sponsored bus from RI to NY. for only 110 each why not. We met the bus at TF Green airport for a 7:45am departure. We were all on time and ready to leave in less than 15 minutes when my husband informed me he left his wallet in our car that was heading back to home with our son. We immediately called him and had him turn around to bring it back. So for me to stall the bus I went to go and get some coffee. Well he did make it back in record time because I was still trying to get the coffee when my husband called and said we are waiting on you. lol Well at 7:45 we were on our way. The ride was smooth, we stopped in New London, New Haven, Bridgeport then NYC. It seemed as though most of the people that were on the bus were all Casino winners. Arrival in NY was about 12:30pm. we departed off the bus and headed inside. The lines were long, but once we advised them that we were casino as sea guest we went straight to the head of the line. We were on board the ship by 12:45pm eating lunch in the buffet.

Day 1: we were in room 11423 and for the life of me my husband could not get it straight, we ended up leaving the cruise critic magnet on the door so he would know this is us. We had an inside cabin and I would say that the only downside for me was there was no drawers to put any of your underclothes, we had to get creative. my husband said inside was alright he just never knew if it was light or dark out and when I would tell him you slept until 10am he was amazed. The bed gave me a backache the first night. for him he had a backache the entire trip from the bed. When looking online we saw coffee pots in the rooms but ours had none. :-( . I looked at it like this for a free trip I was fine. Dinner that night was the Jungle Fantasy dinner. ( We had the UDP) For those of you who never saw that show we both thought that it was amazing. We were lucky enough to get up front. The food was ok. After the show we decided to go and try our luck in the casino after all this is why they gave us the free cruise right. Well let me tell you that place was packed full of people. Trying to find a machine to play was crazy for the amount of people that received a free cruise that were on the ship they surely was getting their money back. There was some old favorite games and some new ones. I will say that I came out ahead this evening with a 500 withdrawal from the breakaway. I can honestly say that the times that I was there the casino was paying out. now I am not a huge gambler like my husband so even 100 payout is good to me. But I kept seeing winners of 2,000 or 3,000 dollars. We ended up going to bed around 11pm Long day.

Day 2: 1st sea day we ate breakfast in osheenan's I felt as though this was great for us, no crowds nothing. We decided today to go an exlpore this big ship. Boy oh Boy is this ship big. I think it was on day 4 that I finally found Carlos Bakery and the Gellato ice cream shop. Lunch was in the buffet because I only wanted salad. toured the duty free shops, and spent the afternoon bowling, playing darts and deal or no deal. great little spot. Dinner was at 5:30 at La Cucina I ate the lobster fettucini and husband had lasagna. both were very good. after dinner we did our ritual and went to the casino where, we both made a deposit to the breakaway and ended up losing that night.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin IC

This room was adequate for 2 people. my only concern was there was no drawer space for undergarments.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

We did not stay in New York at all so there is not much to say about it except waiting a couple of hours for the bus to come and pick us up I wish there was somewhere we could have sat and ate close by

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We did not get off the boat in Orlando, felt it would have been a waste of time for us since we have been to Orlando many times in the past and none of the excursions fit our taste

Great Stirrup Cay

It was ok.I feel as though once you have been to the private island that there is not much more to see. I would however like to try the parasailing the next time around
