I just got off the Magic after a wonderful 7 night cruise to Key West and Freeport & Nassau Bahama's. Just me and hubby celebrating our 33rd anniversary. Our stewards were amazing, the captain was very personable and the cruise directors; Eli & Dee and all the others were amazing! The entertainment was great and we didn't miss any of the shows! The ship is amazingly beautiful and everyone we came in contact with was eager to help. The food was DELICIOUS, especially in the Main Dining room. Our servers; Lamine, Daniel and Man were FABULOUS! I will request a table with them next time! We ate there every night and were sit at a table with 4 other couples that were wonderful! We enjoyed the breakfast in the main dining room and other than the Lido deck being crowded, everything we tried was yummy. We have booked another cruise and can't wait to go back!

We did use the Faster to the Fun and embarkation and debarkation were a breeze. We were off the ship and headed home by 8:30am.

Cabin Review

Porthole

Cabin PT

We LOVE our porthole rooms.

We could hear the waves but they actually sounded like someone shutting a door. No big deal. The one morning we were still in our room when we ported and we could hear the anchor but we were already up and going so it didn't bother us. If you like to sleep in this may bother you. Our room steward was great. The room was super clean and our bedding was turned down every night. I had read an earlier post about the room looking a little ragged but they must have done an update. There was nothing ragged about this room at all. It is a large room with the porthole windows so you get alot of light when you want it or you can shut them and it is pitch dark.

Port Reviews

Freeport

We grabbed a taxi for $10pp and went to Port Lucaya marketplace. The taxi was cramped and they wouldn't leave until it was full. Everyone at the Marketplace was extremely pushy but friendly. Shop around, one shop will have something for $10 but you can get it at another for $5. We stopped at the free beach but nothing was free. They wanted $5 for a chair, $5 for an umbrella and they wanted to charge us to go to the rest room. We walked the beach and we were going to get the $15 wristband and the Grand Lucayan but it was low tide and you had to wade through sea weed on all the beaches alond there to get to the water so we skipped it.

Nassau

Walked Bay St and shopped all the way down to the Fish Fry. Went to Candies and got 1 order of Fish n Chips, a beer and a bottle water and it was $27! Little spendy for what we got but glad for the experience. Caught a taxi back to the ship for $6.
