While it was only my sixth cruise it was by far the worst experience. It's a shame since the Divina is the most beautiful ship I've sailed on. Starting from the long lines boarding, being short changed in Bermuda by 14 hours, poor attitudes, lack of being able to be understood and only fair quality food it was very disappointing. Even the specialty dining experiences were a huge disappointment, save the pizza when you could finally get someone to wait on you. That was sad since there was almost no one there and we still waiting a very long time to get waited on.
Something as simple as not being able to get sufficient ice in drinking water to asking for a scotch old fashioned only to be given scotch in an "old fashioned glass". I had to teach the bartender how to make an old fashioned.
The bright spots were the shows. Entertainment was very good. Plus the only staff I felt we got good service and great attitude from were those who cared for our rooms.
Well maintained and clean. The first ship I've sailed on where the exhaust in the bathroom actually worked. Staff here took good care of us.
Port had 4 ships all arriving at the same time which made it next to impossible to even get from the ship to the shops. Since we had only about 5 hours in port it wasn't reasonable. We opted to quickly get back on ship to enjoy the solitude at one of the pools.
