If it wasn't for the awful embarkation of 2 hours, I would have given this a better rating. It was a terrible way to start a trip. MSC was very disorganized and not the least bit sympathetic to having to wait 2 hours to check in. I have never experienced this on any other cruise line. I realize this was a sold out sailing, but they need to have a better system than letting their passengers spend 2 hours to check in. Not one of the people working for MSC ever apologized or the cruise line never had representatives present to help people or help to organize this madness. I think I hit it at the busiest time because other people I spoke to who got there in the morning did not have a problem at all.

Second problem was that our seating was changed from early to late. Went to the restaurant (Black Crab) and the maitre'd was rude and not service oriented in the least. He actually took a phone call in the middle of trying to help me. One evening when we went in his superior was there and he tried to act friendly but I gave him the same consideration he gave me when I needed to change my dining time and just ingnored him.

The ship is beautiful and the crew take incredible care of the ship. Our cabin stewart was wonderful, making sure our cabin was clean and was very friendly. He couldn't do enough for us.

Cabin Review

Cabin was comfortable and provided plenty of storage for 2 women who had a lot of clothes, shoes and toiletries. The cabin steward brought us extra hangers so we were very happy.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Spent a beautiful day at the Kontiki Beach Club and then shopping on Front Street. The cab ride was reasonable $7 one way and the club provided two padded chaise loungers with unbrella for $12.50 each.

San Juan

Big improvement since I was there last. Nice stores to shop in and really cleaned up the area around the cruise ships. I was not initially excited to go to San Juan, but once I got there and saw the improvements, I was really impressed and enjoyed it very much.

Great Stirrup Cay

One of the highlights of the trip. This island is just beautiful. There were plenty of chairs for everyone and the beach was wonderful. The cruise ship did a great job moving all the passengers over and setting up a great lunch in the pavillion. Nice bath house with showers and little shopping area to wander around. Nice stop.

Miami

Just went from the airport to the cruise terminal so there is not much to say about Miami. I did not spend anytime going to any part. The cruise port is very nice and clean.
