This was my and my husbands first ever cruise and chose P & O because people we play darts with recommended it. We chose the Azura as I am not good on small ships and chose early saver as this is what funds aloud at the time, we chose a inside cabin midships. We travelled to Southampton by train got a taxi to the port from the station which cost about £8 and only took about 10 minutes in the taxi.

Embarkation was very stress less the taxi being met by a man with a trolley to unload our cases from the taxi and were directed up the escalator to be given a plastic card with a letter on it, we waited until our letter was called booked in, though security and onto the ship all within 20 minutes or so. We were directed to a lift and taken to Lido deck for lunch and to await the announcement when our cabins would be available.

We found our cabin a good size and our stewardess very friendly as were all the staff. We had club dining first sitting and found the queues pretty long to go in and a lot of people moaning about the queue but it was well handled and we were in, in no time at taken to our table which we would have for the rest of the trip. I did find the food gave me wind but that's me and not P & O's fault but the food was very nice. The food in the buffet could have been warmer and during the day they should really have free drinking water. We can't comment on the children's clubs but the families on board with children were well behaved. We found the entertainment good, Brodies bar was a favourite, we took in two shows in the theatre and one movie, one bad point was the Sea Screen was out of action the whole cruise even though they were working on it, it still was out of action the day we disembarked.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin well set out but could of done without the little round table below the mirror its a trip hazard at night.
