This was my first cruise and my girlfriends 13th. I was open minded and asked other vacationers how this ship/ cruise line compared to others. Entertainment was FABULOUS, the crew was Awesome.

We had the dinner package. They brag about "FreeStyle Dining and Cruising" We paid $250 for the extra dining package and NEVER got to eat in any of the premium restaurants. The other restaurants were very good, service great. The buffet was really good also. One thing that made not getting into the premium restaurants was there was a BBQ almost every evening at pool side. We chose several evenings to eat in out swim gear vs dressing for dinner.

The disappointing item about the premium restaurants was the reservation desk was RUDE. I wish I would have complained on ship now. They were the rudest people. When we asked several nights why there were so many empty tables in 3 of the restaurants when we were told they were full, were told they were reserved. We stopped by an hour later and still empty. I did ask the customer service desk and they did admit that parties book several diff times and restaurants each night for their party then go to one of them.

Cabin OA

Cabin was super clean and plenty of room for us, we drove to New Orleans so we had a ton of luggage but it all fit fine. Our steward was fantastic. I called him the Magician. We would leave in the am and turn the wheel to Make up room and stop back by for something and "poof" it was made up. Same in the evening for turn down. We were always excited to see what towel animal was greeting us each night as we came home.

Gusti was our steward and he was great, when he saw us in anther hall way he knew our names and greeted us.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

We love leaving from New Orleans, we can drive there and always something to do the night before you leave. Navigating the Mississippi was very interesting to many passengers.

Belize City

We took a horse drawn carriage around the town, stopped by a couple local stores and tasted local beer and wine. Shopping in the market outside the fenced in area was so much better.

Costa Maya

No need, just pack your trunks, bikini and towel and take a $2 cab ride to town. It is on a gorgeous beach with plenty of restaurants and bars across the road. Not overly crowded with 4 cruise ships in port.
