Overall - I feel the need to post my review since I read so many reviews before my cruise, pay it forward I guess. Little background, my 3rd RCCL cruise, was on Navigator, Freedom and just off Independence. Independence is not Freedom, maybe same class, but not same boat. Freedom of the Seas was so much nicer, I guess once you drive a Lexus, its tough to go back to a Toyota. My biggest complaint, the lack of energy from the crew. I know April is end of busy season but the crew looked tired, didn't seem happy, not everybody was like that, but most seemed like that. Also the food was not up to par. Not bad, just not great. First night the food was good, Lobster night was good, but other than that, just average. Desserts were good. Windjammer is what you would expect, buffet food, had no problems with Windjammer food, but MDR food was lacking I thought from previous RCCL cruises.
Embarkation - Arrived at port around 11, was on boat by noon, had bags by 2:30. Have to give it too RCCL, they did really well here!!
Room - We had balcony on deck 6, room was clean. Only complaint was lack of hot water in showers on couple of days. Our room steward did her job, but she just wasn't very friendly. She didn't do anything bad, she just seemed like she was "over it". We asked her to have ice bucket filled with ice, and she did that.
Cabin was nice and clean. Some days had little to no hot water. Had warm water but not hot water, but think that was ship problem not room problem.
