This was my 3rd cruise, 2nd with Carnival. I am a teacher and my boyfriend and I, both 23 were looking to get away for the week of my Spring Break. We chose this itinerary because it worked for our dates, and we enjoy traveling to the Caribbean.
Coming from NY, we flew into Fort Lauderdale on Saturday night and spent the night at the Ramada Airport/Cruise Port in Fort Lauderdale. Except for my boyfriend waking up with multiple spider bites, the stay was fine. But because of this, would never stay here again!
We got up early, ate breakfast, and took the shuttle to the Port of Miami. It was about a 30 minute drive, not bad at all. We arrived at the port, checked our luggage, and got our sign and sail cards b about 10:30. By 11:15 our zone had been called to board the ship. We headed straight up to the Lido deck for lunch, and by that time it wasn't crowded at all yet. Initially, we were disappointed about not being able to purchase Faster to the Fun, but were still able to get on the ship very early anyway.
We felt that this cabin was in a perfect location. Midship, slightly more towards the back of the ship it was easy to get to the elevators. It was a very quiet location, we never heard loud noise or music at night. The cabin and balcony were spacious and clean. We had a slight problem with the drain in the bathroom but they fixed it right away. Our steward, Ramin did an excellent job keeping the room looking great all week. He always made sure we had a bucket of ice for the wine we brought, and fresh towels every day. He also left towel animals each night!
