This is long review but I am trying to be as honest as possible. I thought about this for months and felt I needed to let others hear about the way I was treated by the cruise line. Horrible for the most part. Very dissapointed. Let me start from the beginning.... Booked because fare was 300.00 lower and included good onboard credit. Norwegian agent would not match or come close. Should have noticed something about Norwegian at this point. Anyway, it is still the most expensive cruise I have taken. The Haven spa suite 14734. I have been on over 40 plus cruises, all current cruise lines except Holland and several that no longer exist. From Carnival to QE2. Showing my age.
60 days prior to cruising I got an e-mail. Norwegian changed their smoking policy on my sail date. I immediately called and asked to change the sail date to the week before. My same cabin was available but I would have to pay over 1k more and my airline change fees. I went all the way to the executive offices and they refused. So I smoke and try to be considerate of others and only have smoked on my balcony. Plus I could not cancel because the cancellation period had expired by 10 days and I would lose my deposits not to mention the airfare also. So I thought ok go and limit the smoking. More on this later. The entire ship's central areas reeked of smoke and I am a smoker!
Check in: fantastic except the girl who walked us on the ship and then did not know how to get off. OK, it was her first day on the job. More about lack of experienced staff later. Concierge service was excellent except on one occasion. Had lunch at Haven restaurant, one of the best meals.
See above but short is Spa takes 2 hours to fill and does not re-Heat itself. Cabin floor always gritty on my feet. I asked twice for him to vacuum!
