Our sailing on the Pride exceeded almost every expectation.

Travel to port: We used Carnival travel service. At $25 per person (that's $100 for a family of 4), I wouldn't recommend it - taxi fares, we learned are flat rate of $30 from the airport to the terminal. We took a cab from the terminal back to the airport, and I can attest to the rate. I was disappointed we had a greeter, but not a driver there to meet us and were left to wait for a car to arrive.

Embarkation: Think air travel in terms of security screening. We dropped our luggage in front of the terminal and were through security and check in in less than 45 minutes (but we did everything we could online, so there wasn't much to do at the counter. Arrived around 10:30, waiting to embark by 11:15. Standing in the main lobby by 12:15.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

The cabins are adequate, but decor is dated. For us, it wasn't a big deal - we knew we weren't spending a lot of time in the cabin, so as long as things were clean and in good working order (which they were), we were happy. Javier, our room steward, was very attentive and made way more towel animals than we expected (2-3 a day). The kids absolutely adored him by the end.
