My wife and I returned from our first Carnival cruise together on the Liberty and here are some of our observations.

We were somewhat apprehensive and yet excited about this cruise over spring break. My wife paid the extra money for us to get into our Deck 6 midship balcony stateroom when we got on board. The documenting was same as other lines we have cruised on (sailing pass, receipts, etc). So our cruise folder was complete well before we left.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin was well appointed and bed was very comfortable...there was a frig...not enough electrical plugs. Balcony made the cruise as we like to watch the sea and clouds go by and read. Bathroom was standard for this type of cabin.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Meaghans Bay is a must for us! Many species of fish nibbled on me! We took a cab up and over to the other side for 8 bucks each. There is a nominal fee to get in. Beach is patrolled by lifeguards...nice Sandy bottom...gentle waves...fish...pelicans...but take care as the ignana do nip. Food and beverages are available. Restrooms and salt water showers. Plenty of cabs/taxis to get back. NO PANHANDLERS...Care must be taken to avoid severe sunburn. We get there early 9 am and leave about 11: 30 am, lather up with lotion, hats and swim shirts. Hey it is the tropics!

Barbados

Forget about it...and if it is a Sunday stay on the boat. And if you must take a tour........................................................... ..................................................... ........................
