My BF and I just got back from a great cruise vacation! We are both in our early 30's, no kids and loved the idea of choosing when we would eat and what we would wear, and NCL had free UBP promo, so it was a no-brainer. The Getaway did not disappoint and I would consider crusing with them again in the future. I will review in categories:

1. Airport: CVG to FLL. Took SAS shuttle ($15pp). Somewhat confusing to find white van in chaos, but driver was nice & entertaining and gave a tour of Miami. Visited about 3 hotels to pick people up to go port of Miami. 30-45min trip from curbside to POM.

2. Embarkation: RANT! Had to check bags...irritated that bag handler demanded tip for just putting bag into cage that was 12in away. Only had a ten dollar bill. Ugh. Went through security which was easy. Had to fill out health questionnaire that obviously is weeding out gastroenteritis and Ebola (which is a good thing). Bring your own pen be a use there are none to be found easily. First picture is taken before boarding ship- still have not seen it. Fun music, balloons, crew there to welcome you. Had lunch in Garden Buffet (crazy chaotic) and checked out ship while rooms were being made. Baggage & Rooms ready at approx 3:30pm. Embarkation took about 45min-1hr. Arrived to port at 11AM.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Wheel chair accessible. Shower had low pressure & too close to wall. Comfy bed & pillows. Nice black out curtains. Big balcony and fantastic views--had two chairs & 1 small table. Room has automatic door that open/close. Have to open door to hear announcements. Bed can vibrate but didn't try it.

Port Reviews

Miami

Spent all day in airport. Had a few shops and few restaurants but nothing spectacular. Regretted not doing excursion but didn't want to spend extra $$$

Nassau

Was very chaotic as four ships were there for day. Dirty downtown. At this point, we were so tired of jewelry shops. Atlantis was disappointing. We didn't want to pay $43pp for a hr long aquarium or $160pp to ride slides for a few hrs. So we looked around. Seemed a little dated. Saw a fight with taxi drivers...scary.
