We cruised to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Costa Maya on the Carnival Sunshine. I would first like to say that the crew was amazing. Everyone was so nice, and happy to accommodate us. The ship lacked in a few areas. The inside areas were very hot. Not a lot of cool air was to be found. Our cabin air did not work well at all. The process for any time dining was odd. You had to go to 5th floor, wait in line for a ticket, then go to 3rd floor to be taken to your table. Most of the water area is taken by the kids slides and water park. This is great for the younger kids, but the rest of the deck area where the one pool is was crowded as with most cruise ship pools. Over all, we had a great time. The food was good, boarding was easy. Probably wouldn't cruise on the Sunshine again, but will always cruise with Carnival.

Our cabin was just like all Carnival cabins. It was very hot. Was never cool. Tried adjusting the air many times, but never cooled.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Arrived early. Went through the check in process very easy. Waited in the waiting area a while, but the staff was nice, they had water and snacks available.
