I have to say my husband and I will never be cruising with Carnival Cruises ever again. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I have a hernia from having my 2 kids. I had Dr clearance to come on the ship but the crew repeatedly asked me if I was pregnant and told me I could not sail. Even after complaining to guest service regarding it they just continued to ask if I was pregnant. After the second day on the cruise my husband was in the bathroom on the main floor and was washing his hands and placed his wedding ring on the sink turned to dry them off and when he turned back around the ring was gone. Went to the guest service to report lost/stolen and was treated terrible. The woman at the front desk absolutely refused to file a report or call security or even take a description of the ring. She then shows us a ring that was turned in that was very extremely expensive and was ready to hand it over. We declined the ring that was not ours and continued to ask her to at least take a description. She reluctantly took a description on a piece of reciept paper which she politely threw away as we were walking away. When my husband went back the next day to check on the ring they explained to my husband's that a report souls have been filed the night before. Security came and took 2 hours of our cruise interrogating him on his lost/stolen ring. They did not notify the rest of security, or house keeping. They did not search or even give a notice to it missing.
After all this we tried our best to enjoy ourselves. I went down to guest service to get my room charges and discovered that our housekeeper had been taking mini bottles out of our mini fridge and we were being charged for them. Also they had been using my folio number and my husband's folio to charge other passengers drinks on. We were charged and had to fight to get removed from our statement. The food was ok. The alcohol package is ridiculous. We were told that everyone in the cabin had to purchase the package which is $400 for the week. I do not drink but my husband does. We were told it is mandatory for both to purchase the full $400 each to get the alcohol package the last day of the cruise we were informed that was not the case abs my husband could have purchased it daily at $50 a day without me having to do the same. We contributed to check with guest service daily regarding the ring abs was always told it had not been found. Truth be told they never looked. I was informed to contact carnival customer service when I got back so they could compensate for our disappointments and when I called when we ported back I was told it was going to be handled internally so in other words they are going to do nothing and compensate nothing. We will never cruise with Carnival again.
Not to mention the last day of the cruise the day we ported we were told that we had until 4pm to get off the ship which was changed to 11:30am the night before. The morning of we received a bang on our door at 8:30am stating to "Get out of the room." We then had to wait with all our stuff on a deck till our number was called. They shut down all the food and drink and we're forced to sit in the heat for over 2 hrs. I am absolutely appalled at how we were treated thru out our trip and we will never be taking this or any of carnivals cruises ever again. Oh and to top it off they were informed it was our honeymoon and did nothing. I understand they don't have much special ribs they do but the other honeymooners that were there explained how the crew put roses on their bed, had special dinners where the crew came and sang to then, had special animals on their bed. We had to specifically ask for animals on our bed. We ended up getting them starting the 4th day of the cruise. Also was informed that we were on a gay cruise. We have no problem with that but it would have been nice to know beforehand.
