My wife and I took the 19-day repositioning cruise from Sydney to Singapore. As veterans of cruises on many of the major cruise lines (i.e., Princess, RCCL, Carnival, Norwegian, MSC, and Disney), I think we are in a good position to evaluate this cruise relative to other cruises. For our demographic (retirees in their late 50’s), we think the Diamond Princess offers an excellent product relative to the other cruises we have been on. Mostly, that is because this particular cruise and ship got the important things (both large and small) right.

So here are the (mostly) positives, and just a few minor negatives, about our cruise.

The Positives.

Cabin Review

Cabin F

Smallish cabin. Partial ocean view between two lifeboats. At times, you could hear the bass from the Princess Theatre (located right below you). But this was quite muted, and, of course, would only occur when they were rehearsing in the afternoons or performances in the early evening.
