This was our 12th cruise and our 8th with RCI. We have seen many changes to cruising over the past 20 years but cruising is by far our favorite vacation and a great value. We prefer ships the size of the Jewel. You meet people and can actually develop friendships.

The staff was the friendliest of ANY cruise we have been on. Particularly in the dining room and even from waiters that were NOT our primary servers. The ship officers were quite visible. The Blairs (cruise and activities directors) did a very nice job.

This was a port intensive cruise. We did the Tiami turtle catamaran sailing in Barbados....FANTASTIC! We took a taxi to Coki beach on St Thomas. Hand fed fish with dog biscuits handed out for free! Wow!! I wish we would have booked a ship tour on Dominica. My mistake. Taxi drivers were annoyingly aggressive. Dominica is a work in progress. St Maartin is our favorite island. We love the beach right off the water taxi. Beach Boy Watersports rocks!

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

On the aft side of the "hump." Nice cabin. Very good storage. Showing its age a bit but it was clean. We slept very well. HVAC worked well. We'd stay in that cabin again.
