My husband and I (early 30's) traveled with my mother and brother. This was our 3rd Celebrity cruise and 6th cruise overall. It was an excellent experience. We stayed at the Embassy Suites on 17th Ave the night before. Good location, but not the best hotel for the high price. I wouldn't recommend it. Check-in for the cruise was very quick. We arrived around 11:15 and walked directly onto the ship. We walked right up the Passport Bar to upgrade our drink packages. We then went to book a specialty dinner. You can go to Murano to book your reservation instead of waiting in line at the table in the hallway. There was a 30% discount for the first night. The overall outstanding service is still something we are talking about! For drink service, there were waiters circulating everywhere and proactively asking if you needed something. This was especially true in the buffet area. There were always waiters asking to take a drink order or to remove our plates. We had traditional dining at 6:00pm. Our servers were again excellent, including the wine steward. In past cruises, we had problems getting wine and refills, but not on this cruise. The dining room food was better than expected. Nothing to complain about the MDR.

We enjoyed the cruise director. From reading other reviews, it appears people love him or hate him. We found him to be entertaining and funny and a good addition to the cruise. Being Spring Break, there were more kids than usual, but for most the part, they were well behaved. The only disappointment was the way our excursion in Labadee was handled. We spent the $$ to rent an over-the-water cabana. These are not cheap! Disembarkation off the ship to the cabana was a disaster (spent about 15 minutes stuck on the stairs of the ship), and most of us renting cabañas were abandoned by our "escort." Getting to our assigned cabana was not an easy task. Promises of hassle-free escort to our cabana were not fulfilled. But the cabana itself was amazing with beautiful views and plenty of room. Except our butler didn't come often enough to check on us. We saw him getting drinks for passengers on the beach instead of fulfilling his duties for our cabana. These complaints are valid due to the high price of the rental. Disembarkation is never fun, but it wasn't too bad. Maybe about 30-40 minutes. Getting a cab back the airport was quick and handled efficiently by the FL sheriff department. Pillow chocolates are back. We tried the "fresh-squeezed" OJ in the Buffett. It was very good, although I can't confirm if it really was fresh-squeezed.

Cabin 2B

Cabin was in an excellent location. Close to the elevators. There was a crew door right across from our cabin, but we didn't hear it too often.
