We went on Quantum of the Seas with 2 of our grandsons. Ages 12 and 10. They have never cruised before. However this was our 42nd cruise. We have a lot to compare it to. I spent 3 hours on the first day trying to get our dinner reservations fixed. I had actually gotten them fixed over the phone 2 months before the trip. However upon arrival the information in our cabin showed nothing had ever been fixed. So frustrating. I also had to schedule the shows which I had tried to do before hand and they told me they had no availability for the times I wanted. After standing in a long line at the Guest Relations desk I was told I needed to go across the promenade to the restaurant to work out my dinner details. Funny thing I went there and there was a wedding happening. No one told Guest Relations apparently.

There was no sail away party??? No Music playing by the pool??? A welcome aboard show is always something we look forward to. Getting to know who the cruise director is, and some of the functions on the ship. Well guess what, No Welcome aboard show. We saw the cruise director on Friday 5 days into our sailing. It seemed as though they really stepped it up on Friday. Better food everywhere, The cruise director was visible they really wanted to assure those tips. Our boys had a ball. There was a huge gym on board. They loved all the time they spent in there. Overall I am sure I prefer NCL.
