This was my family's first Cruise experience. We chose a 7 day cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Mexico leaving out of Miami April 5 2015. We typically do a theme park for vacation and stay a week. I have to say we are very pleased with Norwegian. They prepared us ahead of time with email an reminders with the NCL.COM login. It was easy to sign up for excursions ahead of time they're all affordable. The ship was pristine, upon our arrival check-in/boarding was orderly and fast. To our delight we got to board early. Norwegian had food and drinks available the moment we got on the ship. The Crew had hand sanitizer available everywhere. The gentleman who cleaned our stateroom every morning and turned down every night was so kind and friendly. He always left a towel character for my son. The Norwegian staff was so accommodating. We were very pleased with all the complimentary restaurants all the food was good. My son had so much fun at the Splash Academy he made some good friends. The staff never made it feel like "childcare" he looked forward to going to splash Academy daily and rushed us along so he could get there on time. Being an only child he some time's gets bored and misses being around other children. That's NOT THE case with Norwegian Cruise. My son had friends to "hang" with. He can't wait for our next Norwegian Cruise. The casino was very nice and the staff was a lot of fun. The bingo an Deal or no deal was fun too. Legends in concert was great the Aretha Franklin was great. We also liked "Oh What a Night Tribute". The pool and slides were lovely but that's my only sad face about the whole cruise is the sundeck. Guests would put their personal items shoes, purse, book and towel on a chair and then go to a show or have lunch while chairs sat with stuff in them but no people for hours. I hear other cruise lines have an enforceable rule about that. I never got to really enjoy the sundeck in 7 days. I like to sleep in on vacation. Met a lot of nice people on the ship. My husband and I liked that we were not forced to eat at tables with the same people every day and night. It was always a family meal. I would recommend Norwegian Cruise Lines to my friends and family. I already have.
