We are not cruising people and therefore cannot compare this with other ocean or river cruises, but this trip is surely about the special feel of the boat. the river and its culture and the theme of the particular trip. For this we give the whole experience 4.5 out of 5.

The boat is by no means "new", but in a way that adds to the charm of the historic decor. We found it pleasant and easy to find the various facilities.

Embarkation and disembarking was well organised with initial instructions, at The Hilton in New Orleans, clear and friendly. At the end of the voyage we chose to take the coach provided to The Westin which we used as a good base before our departure to the airport at lunchtime. (We "did" the Sun Studios - great!). Read more
