We were first time cruisers and had a penthouse cabin at the stern of the ship. It was huge and well appointed, The large balcony allowed us a panoramic view as we left each destination. I loved the separate dressing area, in room coffee machine, and daily canopies. Our room attendant was great and attended to our room twice daily. My disappointment with the room was the poor quality TV programming. Do not think you can adjourn to the comfort of your room and be entertained by the TV ! This is one area that could be vastly improved at a small cost.
The food on board was A1. We were able to dine and breakfast in a select dining area, but occasionally went to the buffet for our meals. We found the food in all the restaurants and areas of good quality, well prepared and generally above expectation. My disappointment with the food was however having to pay for such things as cappuccino outside of meal times. We don't drink alcohol, so the drink package was of no interest to us. One again the staff were fantastic.
We did not do the Norwegian land tours with the exception Kusadasi, which was ok, except our coach leader informed the group he was a supporter of clerical law. All Turkey tours require the group to attend a factory of some sort. Ours was a carpet factory, interesting enough. Generally we organised our own land tours, using mostly Hop On Hop Off buses. We had to miss one stop due to poor weather. Aside from this the ship arrived and left on time ( stagglers beware being left behind)
Great except for repetitive TV programming, bed slightly sagging in the middle. Canopes daily, well stocked mini bar and coffee machine. Large balcony. Quality linen. Spacious cabin and balcony
