We cruise a lot, Royal Caribbean/Celebrity is our favorite. This was our first time on MSC cruiseline. Our balcony room on the 13th floor was nice, we were upgraded from a ocean view, which was a nice thing about this cruise line, most of their rooms are balcony, almost everyone we talked to had been upgraded, this is something the other cruise lines do not do as often as we'd like.. :) . The shows were fantastic and the singers excellent. And don't forget to get the Gelato, the highlight of the cruise... :) ..Those are the nice things about this cruise.

Kids sailed free on this cruise & had a run of the ship. Kids with diapers in Jacuzzi, parents letting kids literally pee in the pool, the jacuzzi was being shut down, due to leaky diapers or urination issues. Literally, the only time we could use pool when we were at port and the kids were off the ship.

Language barrier for most Americans can be a problem. It seems one out of 10 speak english. Our cabin: Steward was nice, but did not understand or speak English, "yes" is used a lot. "How is everything?" is often asked, but trying to explain there was pistachio nuts and rubbish lodged in the fold out couch, was met with blank stares, and not cleaned out, because he did not understand what we found. Same with the Laundry bag that had to be picked up by 9am. As we left for breakfast, we asked him to make sure the laundry was picked up, "yes" was replied, but laundry not sent.. :) .. when we came back we asked him if the laundry got out ok, and he said "yes!" , only to find bag still in room.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

they need to improve their BBQ ... the island was very nice and the weather was perfect! We always enjoy the private islands on any cruise line. But the food quality and the service they offer, will prevent us from traveling on this cruiseline again.

San Juan

stayed on ship to enjoy the pools without kids... :) the food was still the same, we found it helped to eat Gelato, to make up for the poor quality of food.. or the cheese bar.
