Initially I was worried about cruising as I am not good on boats but we have so many friends who love cruising we thought we would have our honeymoon on the Radiance of the Seas and see what all the fuss was about. Well now we know! We stayed on Deck 8 in a deluxe balcony suite. It was clean and enough space for the both of us. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony for some quiet time. The TV channels were a bit boring however and if you wanted quiet time in your room, watching TV is not really an option unless you want to die of boredom. But in saying that there was so much going on in the ship why would you want to stay in your room. WE did enjoy Tom and Darryls daily report and the Motion in the ocean report with the Captain.
The poolside activities were entertaining and we enjoyed participating (and often winning) the Trivia although be aware all you win is a keyring! There were 14 Honeymoon couples on this cruise so they put on a cocktail party for us and gave us a cake, choc dipped strawberries and champagne. We were sent a free bottle of "Michelle" Champagne.. it was free hey? So whatever. Also honeymooners be aware if you want balloons, confetti , your room decorated etc you need to order the honeymooners package when you book (which costs extra)
The dining room was our preferred place for dinner which was always really lovely and the staff were very friendly. Food was delicious and the staff were great at getting you served quickly if you were going to a show. We found breakfast however to be a different experience in the dining room. Make sure if you order Bacon and Eggs that you ask for English bacon or you get American bacon which is dry and shrivelled hard pieces that taste awful. Breakfast in the Windjammer was our preference with a great variety of food every morning. We often had salads by the pool for lunch.
Clean. Good comfortable beds but as it was 2 singles pushed together I often felt I was falling down the gap. Shower was powerful with good hot water. Cleaned everyday and we loved the towel animals.
Good snorkelling. Not many options for food unless you are willing to pay about $35 each Aus at the resort. This was probably my least favourite stop but it was a nice relaxing feel.
