An exciting way to spend my 60th birthday cruising to new Zealand from Sydney for 2 weeks with my father and two sisters and partners. The amount and variety of activities was well balanced. The staff, in particular the activities team were excellent. The food was fabulous and the production cast shows and guest entertainers in the lounges were excellent. The ship although a little tired in a few places was generally well kept. The lifts had the usual ship problems of not always being available due to breakdowns. Managing 7 ports in 7 days is a challenge for passengers and staff and this was all done very well. I've been on a few cruises and this rated amongst the top for me!
Clean, well serviced. We had a triple occupancy and the amount of available space was not that great. I had the upper bunk which was accessible despite me having some back/spinal issues. However, given we were only in the cabin to change for dinner and sleep at the end of very long days I cannot see any real problems at all.
This is our home port and still ranks as one of the best harbours anywhere in the world. Much to do and see within a short distance from port. White Bay terminal however is not my preferred option.
