My teenage daughter and I just returned from our Getaway cruise to St. Thomas, St. Martin, and Nassau. She loved spending time in the teen lounge, on the water slides, the ropes course, and on the bounce. We both enjoyed Burn the Floor, and Legally Blonde. The dancing was amazing, the acting surprisingly good. The Illusionarium show and food were enjoyable as we had paid the extra for floor seating and arrived early to get front row seats. Nothing new as far as the magic but a pleasant evening. We took advantage of a few of the daytime activities- the Circus Training was definitely fun. We were both disappointed in the main dining room menu selections and only ate there twice though service and atmosphere were certainly nice- wish we could have eaten there more. The buffet served its purpose. Teppanyaki came through with a decent presentation and good meal. Our balcony room was typical, service friendly, and allowed us to watch the fireworks with a great view. We did find the ship itself to have almost continual rocking- nothing to cause discomfort though. I also found the layout/design somewhat choppy, boxy and prefer a more open design. We did not do any formal excursions and navigated the ports on our own. Found plenty to do to keep us busy thanks to cruise critic research! All in all a relaxing trip. Cruisers and staff were friendly and fun.
