Fell short of our expectations; it wasn't awful, but it wasn't great.

We just got back from a 7 night cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette. Overall, the cruise was ok. The ship was large and nice, but the staff didn't seem to care much about customer service. We were constantly having to go out of our way to find someone for a drink or anything at all. There were people there working, but they just never seemed to be around or they were usually just standing there doing their own thing.

I definitely would not cruise celebrity again. This was our 3rd cruise, with all different ages, from grandparents to kids. We all agreed that it was just ok. The room was nice. We had a verandah, but our steward was just ok. They are understaffed overall. Dinner in the main dining room the first two nights was awful. It took about 3 hours for dinner. They were so understaffed! The only reason it improved was because another table in our section had it and never came back to either the main dining room or our section. They also must have complained, because our waiter kept asking us if we were ok and if we had any issues.

We went on Royal Caribbean two years ago and enjoyed it. It was about the same cost and features, but MUCH better service. Last year we went on a Crystal Cruise which was soooo amazing. It was the best experience we have had. I know it is a lot more expensive, but it must have ruined us for all future cruises, because nothing even came close to Crystal. If you can splurge, I highly recommend doing crystal. Stay away from Celebrity unless you have very low expectations

The cabin was fine. Big enough for the two of us to be comfortable
