After a few years away from P&O we tried again, and were very disappointed by the seven days
The flight to Venice was delayed by the French air-traffic controllers, so that resulted in a late arrival at the ship, with very little of a welcome by the ships crew, with no chance to visit Venice at all (not P&O's problem)! We were not able to get changed before dinner as the suit cases only turned up at as we were going to dinner.
After the first evening we were surprised with the good level of food in the main restaurant, but that went down hill very quickly! The following evening one of the table party had to send the roasted pork back, as it was all fat! The next evening wrong steaks were brought, accompanied by the waiter saying three steaks ordered, here are three steaks!. The hat-trick happened the very next evening - and out last in that restaurant, one persons lamb was just fat, while another persons, could not be cut!!
Cabin was great and we were well looked after by 'Elvis'
We did our own thing and visited the old part of town as part of the Orthodox Easter Saturday festivals. A religious parade, a parade of bands as well as the water bottle dropping/throwing
Used the open topped red bus service for a visit around the principality, there were 11 stops in the key areas and we did quite a bit of viewing the race track, both on the bus, having stops for coffee and walking along part of it
