Traveled with children

Just came back from a 7 days cruise on the MSC Divina where every night they had a full cast show with a different theme with singers, dancers and cirque sol le acts. The only draw back on this cruise was it was Easter and with 4200 passengers 1200 were children. This week we were told they only have 41 children on board.

Travelled with my daughter, her husband and grand daughter who was 11 months. Very disappointed to find that MSC would not puree any food for us. She is at the age were she still has most of her food puree but can it little bits of real food as she only has 2 teeth.

Anybody else travelling with a 8-11 month old baby should take their own food on board like we did. They had baby time on board every day 9-10 and 3-4. My grand daughter was the only one there. Which was surprising since 1200 kids were on board. Josh looked after us at baby time he was great. Our two waiters Erey and Yoga were excellent at diner catering to our little girl and ourselves. Cabin steward was great for both our cabins. The only reason we picked MSC was they were the only cruise line that the child goes free. Who wants to pay $800 for a baby who doesn't eat anything. We will travel with MSC again.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12

Large enough to put a crib (pack and play in) balcony was quite small.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Make sure you are on one of the first tender boats out in the morning. There is no shade on the island. We enjoyed our time there in the morning but left by lunch as it was getting to be to hot without any shade. People were just arriving when we left.

St. Maarten

Did not take an excursion because my daughter wanted to go scuba diving and they didn't offer any trips for scuba which most other cruises do. The rest of us just walked round the town shopping.

San Juan

We had a small baby with us and so we took a private taxi round the island while the baby slept. The guide was very good dropped us off at the shopping areas in San Juan.

When there is a group of you there is no need to take an excursion with 40 other passengers.
