This was my first cruise, which involved travelling around the Canary Islands and Maderia. I travelled with 3 generations of my family, with the youngest being 5 years old. After reading the negative reviews about this ship on this website, I was really worried about whether I had booked the right holiday. I have to say that the experience far exceeded my expectations.

The ship was old, but it was also very clean, everywhere you looked the crew were cleaning, polishing or painting. We arrived in Tenerife and our transfer from the airport to the ship was well organised and our suitcases were brought to our cabins within an hour of arriving. We had an inside plus cabin on deck 4, which was a good size. The cabin was cleaned twice a day and my daughter loved the towels which were shaped into animals every evening. We came back to the cabin on Easter Sunday to find a large chocolate Easter Egg, which was a lovely gesture by Thomsons.

The crew were amazingly friendly and made my daughter feel like a princess (especially the bar team outside the Seven Seas restaurant, who completely spoilt her all week). One of the restaurants was always open between 6 and 7 to cater for the kids food. The children's club was also excellent, with really nice staff. They arranged pyjama parties, face painting, movie nights, a disco and lots of other activities for the kids.
