Always wanted to visit Hawaii and thought cruising the Island's would be a good way of doing it. The Pride of America ship is a nice ship and in the main all the crew and staff were pleasant and willing to help. The excursions that we chose we very good with very pleasant and knowledgeable drivers and that made the trips enjoyable. The food in the Aloha buffet was in the main good but for evening meals we used the complimentary dining, skyline and Liberty restaurants which we found a more pleasant way of enjoying your meal rather than the unorganised method of buffet eating. Did not see either the point or need to use the other restaurants that had a supplementary cost as the food served in the restaurants mentioned was good and the cost of the cruise was expensive enough without paying extra when you get on board. Only real complaint is the NCL policy on "gratuities"we found it outrageous that they add an extra18% plus tax to every purchase in the bar. That was even if you went to the bar to get your own drinks. Where is the service in that. ?

The entertainment was ok, the ships resident singing and dance group were at best average but the "o what a night " tribute group were excellent. We did not participate in the on board activities but found the loud music on the poolside deck very off putting when you are trying to relax and get some sun.

weenyoed seeing the islands which were beautiful and overall enjoyed the cruise.
