I'll start off by saying it was not a disaster! Just boring compared to my other Carnival cruises. There were some excellent staff members but for the first time, I actually meet a few of the rudest. I stayed on Deck 1 mid ship and the room was an excellent interior room. Our steward was great! I felt the dinning room staff were very experienced and did not work well together. The first three days I never got my iced tea asking several times and it would just get overlooked. I work in the service industry so I tend to overlook a lot of what most people complain about. This was just total lack of attention. Some days we would get bread other days it was just over looked while other tables around us were experiencing quite a different service. Not impressed with the service but the food was delicious. We would get dessert usually around 750 and then felt rushed since there was an 8pm seating. Making it impossible to get a seat at the shows. I chose this because I don't do buffets. Especially with as many kids on board this cruise!!

The bar staff any place I visited were Excellent!!

There was hardly any activities. Bingo or trivia are basically the only things to choose from. There was an occasional dance class and if you choose to sit by the pool bring your own music as most of the time there was nothing playing.

Cabin 4A

This is a great room. Our sea days were pretty choppy but we felt very little movement.

Port Reviews

Galveston

We stayed at Moody Gardens! For $20 we were allowed to valet the car and they parked it the entire duration of our cruise. When we arrived the Shuttle was waiting. By the time we arrived at the hotel our cars were in the driveway waiting for us! The hotel is an excellent way to start you vacation.

Roatan

Although I didn't care for Mohagany bay it is pretty and very inexpensive. The food was good and drinks were nice. Very cost effective if you are looking for something free to do on land. The restaurants could use ceiling fans as it is very hot and humid there.

Belize City

If staying in the port a nice safe area to walk around. It's the usual stuff you'll find anywhere. The bars were very inexpensive and nice. The shore excursions seem to run late here, might be a bit risky if you arranged your own.

Cozumel

This is an excellent port! You can do as much or a little as you want. If you don't venture past the port the ship is so close you can go back for lunch and return again. We did our own shore excursion, hired a taxi from the taxi line $100 for a 3 hours island tour for 6-8 people.
