My wife and I and another couple went on the Azamara Journey Panama Canal cruise. This was our first (and last) Azamara cruise. The crew were all helpful and friendly. That was the strength of the cruise. Unfortunately I can't say much else positive.
For the first 3 days of the cruise many of the stateroom toilets on decks 6 and 7 didn't work. A fact that the crew was aware of before we left on our journey. Fortunately the toilets in the common areas worked. When our toilet wasn't working my wife slept in her clothes in case she needed to use the toilet during the night. Not a good way to start out a trip. Our problem last one night, the couple we traveled with didn't have use of their toilet for over 3 days. The toilet problem was exacerbated by showers that backed up and flooded their room and very rough waters which caused a great deal of seasickness. Consider being seasick and not being able to use the toilet in your room...not good!
The whole toilet issue dominated the first 3 days of the trip with constant announcements by the captain that the ships water system was being shut down for short periods of time to try to find and fix the problem. It definitely affected everyone on the ships time.
No better than average.
