Traveled with children

We selected this cruise as we heard that RC created a nursery program and the Vision of the Seas was recently renovated and had the nursery on it.

Why was that so important? We were bringing out 14 month old. It was going to be her first cruise! While there were only 4 kids under 3 on the cruise, and she was the youngest, everyone was very welcoming to her. It was nice to have such kind treatment by staff and fellow cruisers, instead of people eye rolling and saying 'well, she isn't going to remember this.' Only one old guy said that and I didn't snap back at him, just smiled and nodded.

Plus, I was celebrating my 30th birthday!!Woohoo!!

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

The cabin would have been great without the pack and play in there, but babies need some place to sleep, how dare they!

While it was tight in there it was a great, efficient, clean room.

Plus our room steward was amazing.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We took affordable cabs to and from the public beach. The cabs were affordable and the beach was free.

The beach was clean and located next to a playground, restaurant, and there were other food vendors near by.

Cozumel

We decided to make cozumel as shopping day.

We took a cab to the Forum Shops and then walked back along the main road for a bit going in a out of shops.

While everyone says that shopping in the Caribbean is a great deal we didn't experience that. We were looking for jewelry and the price per gram was much more than the price per gram we were quoted for before the cruise. Not impressed.

TENDERED

Belize City

We were only in Belize City for a few hours. We mainly went to get free Wifi from bars. Buy a minimum drink amount, get the wifi password.

We didn't do an excursion as the majority of them were not approprorate for a toddler (14 months) to go on. Even going to the beach was would have meant we had a dcent 20-30 minute cab/bus ride.

TENDERED

Costa Maya

Our favorite port/day.

It was easy to get on and off the ship as it was docked. Awesome with a kid.

We took a shuttle to the beaches, which was affordable and pretty quick. The public beaches were free, clean, and located near restaurants. We were right in front of senior frogs, which had nice staff, very affordable drinks, and expensive food.

It was a nice mellow day

DOCKED!!! HOORAY!!!!

Tampa

We only boarded and unboarded in Tampa. We stayed with family before and after the cruise. The city is nice but I can't speak to much of it as we mainly stayed south of the city.
