If you want to get your rest "DO NOT BOOK CABIN 0014"! This cabin is right under the weight room/treadmills. This room is open from 6 am - 11 pm and someone is always in there working out. The weights are constantly being dropped and this sounds like a big "Boom" all day and night long. So if you don't mind being awake at the crack of dawn and not taking a nap during the day, be my guest!!

We are seasoned Cruisers with this being our 20th cruise. When we first stepped onto the Sun, we could smell sewer gas and we smelled it all week and other passengers were complaining of the smell also. We were awaken at 6:15 am our first morning with what sounded like something falling on our heads, but over and over again. We called guest services and asked what was above us and they told us the weight room and tread mills. This banging lasted all day and into the night until 11 pm. We couldn't stay up late and enjoy the nightlife because we knew we were going to be awaken every morning at 6:15 am and no chance of a nap during the day. We couldn't even rest on the sun decks during the days when at sea because they didn't have enough lounge chairs for everyone!! We complained Monday and Tuesday of our situation to only to hear that no cabins were available. Then, Tuesday evening, after many trips and calls to Guest Services, we were told that a Cabin might be available Wednesday after sailing if scheduled Guest didn't arrive for the open Cabin they were holding for them. After sailing for an hour we didn't hear from Guest Services so we went down to talk to them to see if the Guest showed up and they said that the Guest did show up and no Cabin was available for us to move. After we did some investigating ourselves we learned that they actually still had 2 Cabins available 1205 & 1214 and they were actually empty since our original sailing date March 15th. So Guest services could have moved us as soon as we were awaken the first morning. Guest Services kept telling us we were on vacation, why did we need to get rest, they wanted to know what we did for a living to want to rest on vacation, Really!!! But Guest services just kept lying to us until Wednesday night at 10:30 pm we were able to move to 1214. It took us 2 hrs to move by ourselves. After all of our complaining and no sleeping, we lost 3 nights of enjoying the night life on the ship. The Sun also had only one drink server for the shows, which was totally stupid. No servers on the sun decks and pool bars didn't open till noon, then you had to wait for 30 minutes to get waited on. No calypso music at pool! No deck chairs to relax on!!Cagney's lobster portion can't even be considered a real lobster tail, total disappointment. Breakfast was another disappointment, dining room didn't serve omelets and the buffet didn't know how to cook omelets, I had runny white oozing out of the omelets, 3 days in a row and then I just didn't try to get an omelet anymore!. They didn't know how to make sunny-side up eggs without breaking the yolk!! All in all, we were very disappointed how NCL could fail on so many areas!!!! I guess it's all about profit and not loyalty of past cruisers and not wanting to make a good impression on new cruisers to get their repeat business.
