This was only my second cruise but 1st on Carnival. I am not impressed. It was spring break week so too many kids. The Serenity Spa (over 21 relaxation area) was not serene by any means. It is positioned next to the huge water slide that of course 1500 kids are climbing all day long.

The evening dinners were ok in the dining rooms but the buffet left a lot to be desired. The wait staff in our dining room seemed to be too busy with others to try to accommodate us. We were constantly having to ask for things that should have been there for us. Previous cruise on RC the waiters all knew what we wanted to drink before we even said it. They even knew what my grandson would order every night. The soda package is always a good way to go and we get that for my grandson but you have to go to a bar and ask for a glass and give your card every time. On RC they have a special cup with a chip and soda machines all over.

The shows were not fantastic. 1 good comedian, 1 bad. Variety show was ok. Our excursions were excellent, except that we did not port at Roatan. The excursion was refunded but then when we tried to book another at Casa Maya they were all sold out.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View

Cabin 6M

We only booked an inside cabin but when we booked we were not assigned a room number. I guess because we only booked a month in advance. When our room was assigned it was a deluxe ocean view which was great. I really appreciate that.
