We booked with Celebrity on recommendations from friends and family after cruising with 4 different lines over the years. I must admit our expectations were high with a rating of 5.5 stars and the promise of great dining and no need to go to the speciality restaurants.

On arrival everything went smoothly, embarkation process, not much waiting, good information and our first impressions of the ship were it was excellent. This didn't change for the whole of the cruise and it is probably the most beautiful ship we have been on. All of the public areas are so tastefully decorated and the furnishings and fittings are superb and our cabin, on deck 7 is the best we have ever had. Unfortunately this is where the plaudits cease.

The meals in the main dining room were very disappointing with a limited choice and nearly always cold. Fish dishes were so overcooked they were almost inedible. We went to the buffet on 3 nights and had a good meal as the chef cooked stir fry fresh to order. The buffet during the day always had plenty of food available, but after a few days you begin to realise the choices are always the same with almost no changes during the 14 days. As for the curry dishes on offer every lunchtime, serving the same fish curry, a beef curry and a vegetarian option everyday for 14 days is so boring and unimaginative.
