My mother and I had a wonderful time on the Carnival Conquest. This was my mother’s first cruise and my third cruise. The Conquest is an older ship but the service was top rate. The dining venue in the Lido was good for both breakfast and lunch. We were able to get a burger from Guy’s Burger Joint and we also visited the Fish and Chips food area. Both areas had good food. The Renoir “my dining area” was also an area where we received excellent service. The entire staff did a great job in meeting the needs of everyone on the ship. There were very good choices each night and I want to add that we are not “picky eaters.”

We enjoyed the shows which were commensurate with New York Broadway shows. The singers were top notch. Also, the cruise director, Mike, was excellent. He was so funny during that show on how well the couples knew each other. It was absolutely hilarious. Try to make that if you go on the Conquest or one of the Carnival cruise lines.

The shore excursions were also very good. We basically wanted to see each island. We took the “Top Ten Best of Ochos Rios, Jamaica. Our guide, a young lady was great. We went through the rainforest and quite a few areas. We did see how Jerk chicken and pork is prepared. A lot of information about the culture and history was given. We also stopped at the Old Craft Market. Watch out for those wonderful Jamacian ladies. They are true salespersons and can be just a little pushy. While in the Cayman Islands, we took the “Explore Cayman By Land and Sea”. I felt that this was a very good tour. You will really get to see some great things. I enjoyed the underwater submarine event. The person who gave the tour for the submarine was wonderful. We were able to see a variety of the species of fish in the crystal clear waters of the Caymans. Kids and adults will love the Cayman's Turtle Farm. You can hold the small turtles if you desire to do so. I decided to pass on that part but the entire area is a “must see”. In Cozumel, our ship arrived the same time as one other large ship so there was a problem getting to the shore excursion. The person at the pier, who seemed to be in charge of the most of the excursions, did a great job making sure that someone would take us around on our tour. The tour was called, The Top 10 Best of Cozumel and Shopping. The “Discover Mexico” and the “The Mayan Cacao Company” (where we learned how the Mayans made chocolate) was very good. The young lady who gave us a lot of information about the history of the Mayan people did a great job. Our driver was very good.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Since the price was so good, we were able to get to get a suite (Cabin #7283—Ocean Suite). This cabin had great cabinet space and lots of areas to store clothing and other items. The two young men who cleaned our room did a great job. I truly loved the “turned down service” that was done on the beds each night. This is when they simply pull the covers back so that you can slip into the bed. I felt like a queen for at least a week. Special kudos to you guys.
