We have been on many Norwegian ships and love cruising on them. We picked this ship as we had our sons 32 and 37 and our grandson 14 with us. It is a great ship with 5 slides, and the ropes course for them. The food was very good and for the size of the ship we didn't have to wait to get into the restaurants, but we usually ate pretty early. The broadway shows were very good, but we did not like the Second City Improve and there were no other choices for comedians. There also were no dance bands, and to get into any show you had to get there very early and had to make reservations for the Improve.
If we didn't have young people with us we would not pick this big of a ship again. As the lines were very long getting off at ports.
The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the ship was clean. It was an enjoyable cruise but disappointing for entertainment.
Our inside cabin was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and handy. We always get inside cabins, as you don't spend that much time in them anyway. For the price we can go on more cruises. Our room steward was very friendly and attentive.
We rented a car and drove up to Daytona Beach. We had fun driving on the beach and swimming in the beautiful water. It was a pretty drive along the ocean.
It is a nice beach, we took along our snorkel gear. The snorkeling was wonderful, saw lots of fish, with clear warm water. The ship puts on a very nice BBQ with lots of outdoor seating.
We have been to Nassau many times. We enjoy taking the city bus #10 to Cable Beach. It is very reasonable $1.25 each way. They are always friendly and helpful. You catch the bus in front of Mc Donalds. Cable beach is beautiful, clear clean water. We got off the bus by the Sheraton and walked to the beach.
