Background Info: DH & I are in our mid-50s, cruise #9, but this was our first back-to-back experience and we choose the Summit for itinerary & cost/value. Small ship means fewer people, which we love. We never felt crowed, never waited in line longer than a few minutes. As others mentioned, the ship is older, but very clean and crew couldn't be nicer. This was port intensive itinerary, but we did not do an excursion in every port.

Hotel: No overnight before the cruise; decided to get direct flight from NC the day of departure.

Flight to San Juan: Nonstop on the morning of departure; uneventful, with quick baggage collection and trip to port. Nice to see organized taxi service in San Juan; kudos to the airport for good service.
