First and last cruise with RCL. We were looking forward to many nights being entertained with their " world class " entertainment, instead were terribly let down. Second rate stand ins is all we can say. We were told that the sound and lighting dept. were having problems and had to have parts sent from London to fix the problem. It took until day 12 to solve the problem. Not happy Jan ! From Adelaide to Perth we finally got the stage show but by then we were over it. It seemed to us that there were so many one person shows and nothing seemed to work. Most of the audience walked out each evening before the end of their performances. What a stuff up it was and a waste of money this cruise turned out to be.

Many passengers were complaining - those who had travelled many times with RSL - each saying that they would never travel with this company ever again.

The food wasn't always what was stated on the menu in the dining area eg Crème Brulee was poured custard with sugar toasted on top, Caesar salad was lettuce a couple of croutons and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and sherry trifle was custard a broken biscuit and a piece of fruit and no sherry. When asked about the description on the menu the waiter said they couldn't add sherry in case children ordered it !! It was pathetic.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Our cabin was adequate for two people and our cabin attendant Brenlynn was lovely. She attended to our needs when asked and brought us ice each day and an extra pillow for my husband. The cabin was always clean and tidy. We loved the towel animals that greeted us on most evenings.
