This was our second cruising experience as a family, since the first one was onboard the Disney Magic, we had high expectations for the Norwegian Epic 7 day west Caribbean cruise.

The set up and dynamics of both offers are considerably different, shows and dinning are subject to additional charges on the Norwegian which is not the case on board Disney. Disney's option in my opinion and for us as a family is much better as it allows you to experience all the dinning options and shows on a predefine schedule which is really convenient. On the facilities side, maintenance on the Epic is not pristine, pools and water slides were shout down almost everyday during our week there. On the service side I had a really bad experience in the Manhattan restaurant, as I had to remove the plates myself no waitress was to be found, my spouse and myself courses did not arrived on time. I even put my complaint in writing hoping to hear from the staff as this was on our first night but nothing happened.

Also, I have to point out the cruise never was on time going in or out of the ports. On Grand Cayman there was a very long line under the hot sun, they did not have enough tenders to server such a large crowd.
