Decided to take the short 3 day cruise to help us achieve Elite status quicker and to celebrate my DH's birthday. We found the Golden to be a very clean ship, staff was excellent and we even ran into the room steward that we had last year on this ship.

Embarkation was fast - within 10 minutes we were on the ship and in our room. We only had carry on luggage so cannot say how long people had to wait for their luggage.

The ship was fully booked - lots of family with kids, so this time around did not make it to the pool - too many screaming kids in the pool - but that is what we expected since it was Spring Break. Read more
