This was our first River cruise. We had always wanted to see the tulips in Holland so we chose the Tulip Time itinerary. We embarked in Amsterdam and our ports of call were Hoorn, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Antwerp, Ghent, Wilemstad, Kinderdijk and Schoonhoven. Upon arrival our cabin was ready and our luggage was taken to our room and we received a quick orientation of our cabin features. Our cabin was 212 and we had a french balcony/ balcony combination. The French balcony would be a huge asset on this cruise due to the weather. The cabin was spacious and had a queen bed. The bathroom had a great rain shower head with great water pressure. The Apple entertainment system and tv were state of the art in each cabin. Our Cruise Manager, Uwe was absolutely fantastic. His organization skills were stellar and were evident in all activities. He had such a great personality and was so enjoyable to speak with. Even though our weather was rainy the entire trip with high winds as well, he always remained up beat and helped assure everyone's comfort. The Staff are a huge asset to the ship and all worked extremely hard to assure customer satisfaction. No request was ignored and all were accommodated. You were always greeted with a smile. We enjoyed the smaller ship size and the personal touches that AMA works so hard to provide. We would certainly consider taking another river cruise with AMA.
