This was our 4th Cruise with Princess so we knew what to expect from Port Everglades and Princess Cruise Lines. We were very surprised to find out that everyone on the ship showed up at the same time instead of showing up at the time assigned on their tickets. This made for a long line that ran out and around the outside of the cruise center, the children were impatient and fussy and every was frustrated by the over-crowded conditions.

Once aboard everything seemed to go much smoother. We found out much to our surprise there were 800 children onboard due to spring break. We thought this would be fine until we ran into problems with the kids running amok everywhere. They were in the bars and clubs, jumping in the hot tubs, and pools, and we were not able to secure a reservation at the Serenity Deck. We were actually in the Hot tub and one family left 4 of the kids they had with them in the hot tub with us without asking! 2 of these kids were under 5 and the other 2 were 6-8 years old. Come folks I did not go on this cruise to have your children jumping in a hot tub they should not be in to begin with, and to have you dump the little darlings on me to babysit without asking me. Also folks please do not let your kids hit all the buttons in the elevators when they get on. A couple of the Aft Elevators had a few broken buttons after the first day due to the kids and the Staff never did repair them.

Princess Staff did not to prevent any of this from occurring but did have security come nab an adult for smoking at a bar when no one knew they were smoking! In the buffet there was one child screaming she had to go poopy over and over again and her parents ignored her. Hey parents I have a news flash for you, no one but you should have to hear this from your child, remove them from the eating area and deal with it. If they can not behave in public, then get your food and eat in your room.

Balcony

Cabin BD

Room was very nice. Balcony was larger, half covered/half opened. Bathroom did not have an exhaust fan....... Shampoo/Conditioner leaves hair feeling like straw, bring your own. Shower gel is harsh on the skin, we brought a bar of soap with us. And we were only give one bar of soap for the sink and 1 tube of skin lotion for the whole week we were there. After not having the bed made and room freshened the first day we found out we had to place the "Please Freshen Room" tag in the lock for the Room Steward to touch the room. Never had to do this before
