Lines over an hour in the sun to get on the Florida Beach Shuttle and Norwegian Private Beach. The wait to return to the ship on a tender was an hour and a half minutes in the sun. The wait to get Atlantis Wristbands was almost two hours with only a small group of people checking names with hundreds, if not a thousand, people waiting. This was a horrific way to start a very long day. To buy a drink it was often a 45 minute wait...one person at a time on the private beach. Restaurants reached capacity half filled because there clearly wasn't enough staff to accommodate this almost sold out cruise. Zipline never was open and the two large slides are for anyone over 100 lbs, but you are risking your lives getting stuck. Total bait and switch. The company knew how many people had booked rooms, but clearly did not add more service workers to maintain quality and efficient services. We don't mind waiting, but hours waiting add up to days. It's obvious the corporate office is interested in pocketing the money and making its guests wait excessive amounts of time for just about everything. This included working its employees to the max, which did not go unnoticed by many guests. My heart goes out to the fabulous employees who work all day and night to make the cruise enjoyable as possible. Service charges should be refunded to the entire ship. Severally understaffed at every turn and made me feel as though Norwegian Cruise Line treats its employees as moderately paid slaves. We were told personally that other ships are smaller, but have more staff. We also found the moral is to not listen when they tell you to wait because you will never be called. Be the first to get to everything or you wait, wait, and wait some more. Never again.
