This was my 32nd cruise, and the 42nd cruise for my mom, with whom I traveled. I've traveled on Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival and Norwegian. People will often ask me, "What is your favorite line?" and I'll answer that every line has its merits, but if you want the best service, it's Holland America all the way.

I have been on this ship twice before, and have so many nice memories associated with it, so I was very much looking forward to sailing on the Eurodam again. And it's just as wonderful as I remember it. The Eurodam is still beautiful, well maintained, and has the friendliest, most caring crew at sea.

We flew down to Fort Lauderdale on Southwest from MacArthur Aiport on Long Island, which I highly recommend -- it sure beats leaving from JFK. We were the first group on the ship, put our things in our room and went directly to the special Mariners luncheon in the dining room, which is a nice change from going to the buffet on embarkation day.
