After reading the onslaught of negative reviews on the Miracle, I was dreading the 7 day cruise to come. I'm sure if you're reading some of the negative ones right now, you know exactly how I felt. However, don't feel too regretful. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise, flaws and all.
Because this is my first cruise, I had no ideas or preconceptions of what constitutes as a good, roomy cabin. All I know is that even with an extended balcony room located on deck 8, the room was cramped and tiny (especially the bath room). You cannot have more than 1 person in the bathroom at a time because you will feel very stuffy. Moral of the story: don't pay extra for upgraded rooms. The size of the rooms is more or less the same for all rooms.
Dining options were overall pretty good. The buffet is very hometown buffet-esque, but there is a good variety of different kinds of foods, ranging from Italian to Asian. The dessert buffet is overall exceptional, with a wide variety of different desserts almost every day. Do not miss the Mexican buffet they have during the last night in Mexico!! The Bacchus, which is another dining option, has less variety but slightly more quality and definitely more gourmet. They have a new menu every night that is sure to fit your needs. Also, check the schedule they give to you every night, because the Bacchus serves breakfast, brunch, and tea time on certain days.
Cabins are small but they grow on you. Restrooms remind me of airport restrooms. Amazing service!
