We just returned on a 7 day cruise with RCCL on the Vision of the Seas out of Tampa, FL. We found that Alexander Pineda - Windjamer Manager was always available and very helpful to everyone. A server named Valentin Boiciuc in the Windjammer was always helpful, friendly and professional.
I had an issue where they kept my suitcase and left a message that it was at Security and had alcohol in it. It was locked and they had no way of knowing this and besides it was water as I have never drank alcohol. Alfredo Forbes along with Ana from Guest Services took my data and will now tell travelers that there is something that needs clarification. They were very professional.
Nalini our Head server is a great person and knows her job. Enjoyed her service. Her assistance, however a very nice girl couldn’t remember our repeated desires, like if we ate bread, type of coffee, etc. We had a nice room and Eleasar Arabe our Stateroom Attendant was very professional and thorough in his duties. He was helpful in clarifying room issues/concerns.
Cabin was great and quite.
There are Poor directions to the port for getting in and out. Parking garage does not open until 0930. This means you have to find a place to just park and wait.
Roatan is a place you would not want to go walking around by yourself. There are loose dogs and the streets are narrow and you never know about some of the people.
This is another port that you would be advised to take only the Excursions with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as you never know who you may get on your own.
Costa Maya is an isolated port and there is no where that you can walk on your own without the fear of kidnapping and robbery. Take on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line tours.
The port we stopped at in Cozumel offers the ability to go walking by yourself and see first-hand some of the local crafts. Recommend you stay on the main street. Be prepared to be besieged by Mexicans who relentlessly encounter you to come into their store.
